Who are the Exigen Group?
In 2002, Simon and Daniel Plant — two brothers with different but complementary skill sets, one with an accountancy background and the other with law — set up a restructuring business.
Since then, the original business has diversified and grown substantially, now forming the Exigen Group with over 90 staff members serving clients nationally.
The original aim was to simplify and guide directors through the complicated world of insolvency. We have a unique Group, offering complementary service lines to assist directors in financial difficulty explore various options.
Our core values lie in putting the client first: offering transparency and integrity, treating every client equally, and providing solid advice through our extensive knowledge, experience, and expertise.
We don’t seek ways to sell our insolvency services; instead, we first consider alternative routes to save the company.
If that is not possible, we look at restructuring rescue packages that could still save the company or, at the very least, the business. The Exigen Group provides an unrivalled mix of tailored services within the commercial finance sector to business owners, lenders, and accountants. These include turnaround and restructuring, business reviews, SME funding, sales ledger management, and property services.
Boasting the UK’s largest Invoice Finance brokerage and being the number one provider of MVLs, Exigen Group has won numerous awards for its business recovery and finance divisions.

Simon Plant
Director
Simon co-founded Exigen and has been instrumental in building it into an award-winning business. While still involved in maintaining the high standards the firm is known for, his focus is now on expanding the wider services of the Group.
Daniel Plant
Director
As a co-founder of Exigen, Daniel has helped shape it into a well-established mid-tier practice. These days, he focuses on consulting and driving the continued growth of the Group.
Annabel Ah-Lim
Group Finance & Operations Director
Annabel is a Chartered Accountant with over a decade of experience in accounting and finance, including a specialisation in forensic accounting. After leading key operational projects as Senior Finance and Treasury Manager at Exigen, she is now the Director of Exigen Brokers.
Jeremy Perceval
Director
Jeremy has over 25 years of experience in the property industry and is a fellow of the RICS. A Registered Property Receiver and Valuer, he has worked across all asset classes nationwide, advising on property insolvency and business turnaround strategies.
David Kemp
Director
David joined Exigen in 2006 as a law graduate and worked his way up to Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and Director. Holding CPI and JIE qualifications, he works with lenders, accountants, and business owners across the UK, offering clear, practical restructuring advice with a focus on helping businesses find a way forward.
Richard Hunt
Director
Richard has been with Exigen since 2009 and is both a Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, holding JIEB, ACA, and CPI qualifications. He oversees MVLs, CVLs, CVAs, and certain administrations while also managing compliance, treasury, and tax.
Crystal Allen
Head of HR
Crystal has been with Exigen for over 15 years and plays a key role in shaping the business as Head of HR. She works closely with the management team on strategy, vision, and policy development while ensuring the team has the support they need.
Paul Bergeman
Head of Marketing
Paul has over a decade of sales and marketing experience, including building and scaling his own B2B lead generation businesses. At Exigen, he’s responsible for bringing in new clients, driving growth, and leading the Digital Marketing team.
